Hidden gem in Saigon! The Letter Coffee has cozy vintage vibes, colorful corners, and even a giant teddy bear . Tried the Rum Raisin Coffee Black and Salt Coffee – both unique and delicious . Loved the rooftop view from the 8th floor overlooking Nguyen Hue Walking Street . Definitely worth a visit for good coffee + Instagram-worthy spots!

The Letter Cafe in the Cafe Apartment is one of those hidden gems in Ho Chi Minh City that you just have to visit. From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the cozy, inviting atmosphere and the breathtaking view from the balcony. It’s the perfect place to unwind, sip on a delicious drink, and take in the bustling cityscape below. The host was warm and welcoming, taking the time to recommend their bestsellers, which I greatly appreciated. I tried a couple of their signature drinks and dishes, and they were absolutely fantastic. The coffee was smooth and aromatic, just how I like it, and the pastries were fresh and mouthwatering. You can tell they really focus on quality, and the host’s recommendations were spot on. One of the most memorable moments of my visit was meeting a group of young Japanese athletes who were also enjoying the cafe. It was such a pleasant surprise, and getting the chance to chat with them made the experience even more special. The cafe itself has a great vibe—modern yet comfortable, with a chic interior that’s perfect for relaxing or catching up on work. The location within the Cafe Apartment building is also unique, offering a variety of cafes and shops to explore all in one spot.

I explored three different cafés in this coffee building in one day, starting with The Letter Café, which came recommended by my tour guide. The design is charming and cozy, and since it’s on a lower floor, it was pretty quiet—I had the place to myself for a while. One thing to note: the entire building can get extremely hot around noon. There isn’t much difference between sitting inside or on the balcony in terms of air conditioning, so I initially opted for the balcony. Unfortunately, the heat became too much, and I had to move on to the next spot. A nice café overall, but probably better for a morning or evening visit when it’s cooler.

We visited the famous coffee building in Saigon (Ho chi min). We took the lift to the ninth floor and was making our way down when we came across this quirky little cafe. Very inviting as we walked in and the servers were very welcoming. We sat on the balcony and ordered an egg coffee, beautifully made by Yen nhi, was just as good as my first in Hanoi. We were served by the lovely Lam. They have a 2 for 75,0000 drink offer (I can’t remember the time) and they also have some lovely clothing for sale also. Please pop in if you visit the coffee building.

I visited The Cafe Apartment twice during this trip to HCMC. And twice I visited The Letter at L8. Firstly, I like this high floor with good balcony view. The staff were very polite and I love their Vietnamese coffee. I have also tried their Vietnamese egg coffee as well as their french fries. Their fries is as good as Mac Donald's, especially with cheese powder. I will come here again on my next holiday to HCMC.
